In a short but varied career she has had spells working in the Superior Court of Justice and the Galapagos Islands before moving to Argentina to specialise in International Private Law. Throughout her legal career she has maintained an interest in media, writing for Ecuadorian newspapers and producing Swedish policy research. In London for the last five years she specialised in online media, working for Unruly Media and Kantar Media Intelligence, before joining LatAm INVESTOR.

Prior to specialising in emerging markets, he worked in pensions and insurance consultancy at one of the Big Four accountancy firms and energy and commodity market intelligence at two leading analysis and data providers for the oil and gas industry. Cris’s diverse background gives him unusual insight into the many factors that drive EM capital markets and makes him a vital addition to the LatAm INVESTOR team.

Adriana is a Mexican journalist with more than a decade of experience covering politics in her early days before switching to finance and business. She has extensive knowledge of the general business landscape in the region of Mexico and Latin America with a strong background covering small and medium business enterprises (SMEs). During more than five years she worked for the well-known financial newspaper in Mexico, El Financiero and collaborated in several specialized publications such as the infrastructure magazine Obras, which is part of Grupo Expansion. Adriana is currently focused on the M&A market in Mexico, she is a Mexican correspondent for Mergermarket, a Financial Times Group publication.

In 2013, Louisa won the Gold Standard Award for Excellence in Economics and Business Journalism for an article on inclusive and sustainable corporate models published by Estrategia&Negocios.

Edwin is a literary scholar, biographer, and historian. His research interests are in the literature, culture, and history of Spanish America as well as early-modern Spain. He is the author of The Penguin History of Latin America, which has been translated into Spanish (Historia de América Latina, Fondo de Cultura Económica, 2014) and Portuguese (História da América Latina, Edições 70, 2012). His biography, Borges: A Life (Viking, 2004) has been translated into seven languages (Spanish ed. Borges: una vida, Seix Barral, 2006). He has published extensively on the Hispanic Golden Age, and especially on Cervantes. He has lectured widely in Spain, Latin America, and Europe, and has been a visiting professor at Stanford, Cornell, the University of Colorado at Denver, and the Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil.
